I love my owner but she doesn’t make it easy. Take today’s momentous occasion, the arrival of our first 75 Capycoppies. I was as excited as the next capybara but that doesn’t mean I want them piled all over me! At least they are soft and very lightweight.

It’s true that I have served as a muse for some very outstanding artists…it’s just too bad my owner isn’t one of them.

If you know me, you know I love a good contest, especially when it involves photos of me. So I decided to kick off a quick contest during the holidays since, I figure, people will have a lot of time on their hands.

This is a long story because it was a long (but glorious!) day. I’m going to start at the beginning and hopefully you will stick with me to the end. The photo above shows me with my favorite Japanese stalker, Kimiko-san, aka @CapybaraCamera on twitter and Facebook, feeding me a popsicle in the car.

I am so excited to tell everyone about my new co-pet, Oakley. He is a rabbit, a Dutch bunny just like Maple Bunny but a different color. That is him standing up so proudly in the photo above. He’s cute isn’t he. And he’s friendly. We hit it off right away.

I went for a walk out in the front pasture with my owner yesterday. I’ve been a pretty good capybara lately so I don’t have to be on my leash. I always wear my harness though, you can’t be too careful. I wouldn’t want to be mistaken for a wild or homeless capybara.
